Therapy for lasting change

Hey there,

I’m Jed

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that we all deserve happiness, purpose, and strong relationships. Let’s find the resources for healing and change that you already possess while practicing new ways of being. Through our work together we’ll make connections and say or hear things that have gone unsaid or unheard. Let’s build the life you want - one full of connection, groundedness, and love.

What I treat

  • I use emotionally focused therapy (EFT), a short term, data-backed therapy approach that leads to more satisfying and longer-lasting relationships. Through our work together you’ll deepen your understanding of your emotional worlds and experience new ways of being together.

  • Anxiety often indicates that there are other emotions and experiences that want to be felt, but something is blocking access to them. I help clients find and feel what wants to be felt. I use mindfulness and somatic techniques that can enable us to reduce the frequency and intensity of anxiety while we work to excavate its roots.

  • Many men are led to believe that masculinity itself is toxic. This, of course, is untrue and leaves men feeling even more isolated, ashamed, and confused. So what does "positive" masculinity look like? What does it mean to be a good man? I work with male-identifying folks both individually and in men's groups to explore these questions in a safe, gender-affirming, healing space.

  • Depression often signals that parts of your emotional world have gone quiet or underground—feelings that once needed to be expressed but became too overwhelming or painful to access. I help clients gently reconnect with what’s been muted or shut down. Through mindful awareness and somatic techniques, we can soften the heaviness, reduce the intensity of depressive cycles, and uncover the experiences and unmet needs that lie beneath

  • Low self-worth often develops when important parts of you have learned to hide, quiet themselves, or believe they’re not deserving of care or attention. I help clients reconnect with these overlooked parts and understand the experiences that shaped their beliefs. Through mindfulness and somatic techniques, we can soften self-criticism, reduce its impact, and create space for a more compassionate, grounded sense of self to emerge.

  • Trauma often leaves parts of you carrying fear, shame, or overwhelm long after the event has passed, making it hard to feel safe, connected, or fully present. I help clients gently access and care for these wounded parts without becoming overwhelmed. Using mindfulness, somatic techniques, and EMDR—a research-backed method that helps the brain reprocess traumatic memories and reduce the distress they cause—we can lighten the intensity of past experiences and soften their impact on your daily life.

My approach

Parts work

Over time, many of us develop ways of coping that once helped us feel safe but now keep us stuck. Maybe a part of you works tirelessly to be perfect, hoping to avoid criticism, or another part shuts down to escape overwhelm. These patterns can become so automatic that they deepen anxiety, fuel depression, and chip away at your sense of worth. In our work together, we’ll gently uncover these protective parts and understand what they’ve been trying to shield you from.I can help you identify these patterns and the parts of yourself they protect. Through the curiosity and compassion intrinsic to your Self, we can loosen their grip, befriend them, and earn their trust.

Experiential acceptance

Emotions are like visitors—temporary, yet full of information about what matters to us. When we learn to make space for emotions, both our own and others’, we create the conditions for healing and connection. I integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you slow down, notice your internal experience with openness, and respond in ways aligned with your values. This often includes guided mindfulness and visualization practices that support you in tracking feelings, understanding where they originate, and caring for the parts of yourself that carry them. I also offer EMDR, a research-supported, experiential approach that helps reduce the distress tied to painful memories.

Practice makes better

I believe that it takes practice to really create lasting change. After all, we’re undoing patterns that you may have had for most of your life. I will often assign simple homework assignments to further the growth you experience during sessions and provide us more data to work with in future sessions.

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. My license number is T3141.
